A fun, semi-cooperative game of action and strategy with a pirate theme. The young sailors land on Big Pirate Island to steal his treasure, but the pirate is having none of it and is determined to catch them before they set sail! The players who play sailors get a number of cards, how many of each kind depends on how many there are, in the beginning of the game. The sailors can move forwards or backwards when it is their turn, and can pick up a treasure chest by moving to or past the cave space- but only one chest at a time. The pirate can only move forwards, never backwards, when it their turn, but when the pirate reaches a space occupied by a sailor he stops on that space, catches the sailor for the rest of that game and retake any treasure chest the sailor was carrying. To get away from the pirate you can give him a parrot card before rolling the die to double the die result, and when a sailor moves to or past a space with a coconut tree (the darker spaces) they can choose to hide behind the tree- but look out for the pirate when you are forced or chooses to leave it! The pirate wins the game if he manages to catch all the shipmates. The sailors win if they manage to get one treasure chest and land exactly on the boat space with it!
